Singer, DJ, Producer AND award-winning drag perfomer – Dean Misdale is stunningly talented.
Which still doesn’t include the accolades for their theatre, musical theatre, comedy, and commercial work.
Oh, and appearing on stage with British music icon Adele at her 2017 concert in Perth.
Dean’s incredible work (not to mention their incredible collection of wigs – the higher the hair…..!) and incredible glamour on stage, made them a great choice for hosting our Gala event at the Astor this October.
We can’t wait to see what they bring to the stage, and the feeling seems mutual:
1. You’re our MC for the Gala night and we are thrilled to have you – what are you looking forward to for our high glamour event?
Oh my gosh Burlesque is the epitome of glamour! Feathers, lace and rhinestones – I’m so excited about seeing all the amazing costumes everyone will be wearing on stage!
2. Are you planning…..anything…..special for the Gala?
Who knows I might have a few tricks up my sleeve 😉
3. The Gala dress code is Black Tie – what does glamour mean to you and are you looking forward to seeing what people wear?
To me glamour is a feeling – it’s that feeling of I look good so I feel great! Glamour comes from within and should radiate out of you. I know the audience will be looking just as fabulous as the performers so I can’t wait to see everyone’s fashions for the night.
4. What do you love about being part of the Perth arts community?
I always say West Is Best and the talent in the Perth arts community is truly world class! It’s so inspiring and humbling to be surrounded by such incredible talent in WA not to mention the love that we all have for each other within the community.
5. What tunes would you add to a PIBF road trip playlist?
Oh I am a HUGE lover of the pop groups from the late 90s early 00s so anything from that era will always have me putting on a concert in the car!
Tickets for the Tease Factory, Gala and the Glitter Crash after party and our Regional Tour are flying out of the box office – get your tickets while they’re still there!
