Beata Ridley’s work stunning creations are back at PIBF 2021
Based just east of Perth City, Chein Noir Dezines has been responsible for some incredible handmade bridal creations.
Last year, her creations took to the stages of PIBF on our leading lady and oh-so-sweet Festival Director, the Sugar Duchess.
Beata and the Duchess have collaborated again, so we tried to get some hot tips on what they’re creating this year:
1. You created some incredible looks for our Festival Director The Sugar Duchess – what can you tell us about what you’re creating for her this year?
I am creating 3 outfits for the Sugar Duchess. This year we have decided to go for more simple styles in shape and design in classic colour combinations.
Velvet and sparkly motifs, and beading will create the lavish look for one gown when other is more softer mesh and lots of tulle embellished in jeweled pieces. Third is a party play-suit fit for a Duchess.
2. What styles of dressing have been popular in 2021?
Definitely vintage styles are popular with most of my clients. 1940’s, 50’s offered designs very friendly to female form and many women came to appreciate how flattering they are.
Also I can see minimalism of 1960’s becoming one of the favourite looks too for many. As a designer my focus is on clients wishes to create gowns they want.
3. What do you love about being part of the Perth creative/arts community?
Being part of this gorgeous community is huge opportunity for my flamboyant creativeness. Dealing with people who are also creative allows me to be outrageously innovative and able to try new concepts and ideas.
4. What songs would you add to a PIBF road trip playlist?
I like all types of music – for driving I like easy listening, like what you hear on SBS Chill.
