VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

The Volunteer is willing to donate their time and services to Tease Industries, in turn Tease Industries is willing to accept such time and service by the Volunteer.

This agreement abides to the following terms and conditions:

  • The volunteer understands the services provided will be a donation and under no circumstances will expect wages, salary, or benefits from Tease Industries for their services provided.
  • The Volunteer should report to the Volunteer Coordinator on each day services are provided for instruction and guidance.
  • The Volunteer understands they are under no terms considered an employee of Tease Industries. Furthermore, Tease Industries acknowledges the Volunteer is not an employee and may provide services at free will. The Volunteer will receive no employee benefits including disability, pay, worker’s compensation, or severance pay.

At Tease Industries, the safety of everyone who is involved in our organisation is a priority.

In Western Australia, the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (OHS Act) applies to volunteers because all organisations that engage workers on a paid basis or manage or control a workplace can owe OHS duties to everyone in the organisation (including volunteers). Also, there may be other legal actions (such as negligence claims) that mean we always need to consider work health and safety issues.

Under the OHS Act and other laws, Tease Industries has a duty of care to minimise risks to everyone affected by its conduct.

It also means that as a volunteer, you have OHS duties too. These include:

  • to take reasonable care for your own health and safety
  • to take reasonable care for the health and safety of others
  • to comply with any reasonable instruction by Tease Industries management
  • to let Tease Industries management know of any concerns you may have about safety and/or fitness in undertaking your role, and
  • to cooperate with any reasonable policies and procedures of Tease Industries

This volunteer agreement is for the 2023-year period only.

Because the Volunteer is not an active employee, they may terminate this volunteer agreement at any time for any reason they deem necessary.

Tease Industries may decline to accept the Volunteers time and may terminate this agreement without prior notification.
